Also, I have confirmation that the security certificate is running.

Announcement!
Given the difficulties we have been having with Epicwords, I have endeavored to create a new website for the Unification Campaign.

Please go to unification.gq

It's hard to read. The site is unification.gq. G Q

My security certificate should be issued in the next day or so. But, until then, you should have no trouble with security. So go ahead and register for the forums.

Umberlee's Wayward Province
This broad hallway turns abruptly and ends at an open archway. A mighty wall of falling water blocks passage immediately beyond the opening. The floor before you is wet from the mist and spray emanating from the doorway. To the right of the aperture, carved into the west wall, is some sort of inscription.

Below the inscription is a nook carved directly into the wall. The interior of the nook is artistically sculpted to resemble a square diorama that spans about 3’ in height. In the upper left of the scene is a miniature cliff being soaked by a heavy rainstorm. The cliff overlooks an 8” diameter basin carved to resemble a natural lake that drains into a hole at its bottom. The overall effect is to provide a dioramic scene that features an actual stream of water that flows left to right – first from the rain, then over the model’s cliff in the form of a water fall, then down into the stone basin. The scene is rather majestic.

The message is skillfully written in an ancient form of elvish. Translated to Common it says, “Restore Umberlee’s wayward province and gain favor.”

Random Thoughts
I stand waiting for Dinsdale to possibly release another creature from the mysterious orb thinking about how we got here. First I get a missive sending me to Willow's Glen and starting an adventure into the depths of Zeligar's Fortress and the finding of vast treasures. Of course these treasures were taken by an ambitious leprechaun which led to the splitting of our party as losing all those riches sent some of our party over the edge.

Returning to Willow's Glen, Dinsdale and I replenished our ranks only to discover a great evil beneath the town that was accidentally released, devastating the place. We acquired another quest to find some heart stone or such but ended up in some goblin stronghold thus having to destroy the foul beasts. Rescuing some fellows we headed to the great dwarven city of Ostahar where a rash of attempts on my life started.

Saving many a dwarf folk, we became dwarf friends and were sent on another mission to find some artifact. Fighting our way through some ash giants who beat me to a pulp, we eventually convinced them to let us into the ruins of the Tower of Inverness to where we find ourselves now.

It only been a month since this long journey started but I feel like have aged 3 years!!

Undead already.
Letting the red wizard take the lead seems like the optimal strategy as judging by the looks I am getting it would be trouble if I spoke out of turn. Hope we leave soon as time is of the essence!

Someone Shot Me!!
I can't help but wonder who would want me dead. It must be someone associated with that baby snatcher wizard. One of the few people we have left alive when swords have been crossed. But why me? I'm the strong silent type. Oriseus does all the blabbering!! Or even Dinsdale with the twitchy fingers. I can see me over the dragonborn, Nobody knows who he is as he such an anachronism. I don't even know what an anachronism is!!

All I know is I must be ever more vigilant. It appears the choices we have made are attracting some unwanted attention. These times are truly perilous!!

City of Dwarves.
I do feel homesick walking among the vertically challenged dwarves of Ostohar, though being 3000 years into the future my family is all dead by now I am certain, and this would be a strange explanation to my kin of today being a probable ancestral deserter for vanishing in the line of duty and not found dead on the field.

I do find my current companions most helpful in this mission to remove the demon I had helped fight long ago, not a deserter, just imprisoned.

I will do my damndest to fulfill the orders of my long-dead commander.

Saturday, September 19, 1372 (DR) Third Age, 2:45 p.m.
Eve Nightsheer sits on the cave floor, leaning her back against cold, damp stone. The paleness of her flawless face is noticeably exaggerated as her eyes scan the scene.

The lifeless and bloodied body of Dvora Grimbane lies near the back of the decorated cave, partially obscured by shadow. Faint whimpers can be heard from the other two wide-eyed half orc women seated close by. The rest of the cave is a macabre scene of death and gore.

With a snap of her fingers, the mysterious dark mistress conjures a pen and a small square of parchment. In artful strokes, she marks the tiny scroll in arcane script. A moment later, she produces a black bird from the ether, ties the furled message to its leg and tosses it into the air. The bird is gone in an instant, winging its way northward through the dank caverns at incredible speed.

"So, my purpose has become clear," she says aloud, but you sense the statement was directed only at Eve herself.

Looking around, she gives the party a weak smile. "Trouble is afoot, friends. You'd best be on your way without delay. There is no telling who else may be lurking about." She rises as if to leave.

Too long.
We tarried too long with the slavers, after destroying their master in less time it takes to eat a squirrel we tarried long with the second batch of minions, and apparently one was a sister to the half-orc bowman, things are getting bad.

Conflicted
It was weird seeing my sister like that on one hand I feel I should seek revenge and hunt down this wizard, but on the other hand it as been so long since I have seen any of my family members that I don't feel any sorrow it is as if they were complete strangers.

Red wizard of failure
I tend not to prefer ambushes, but in this case it was quite effective in neutralizing the group of slavers, the interrogation went rather smooth as well, though the execution left a bad taste in my mouth as he was defenseless and we could have traded him to Ostihar for passage into the city, I'm not sure why I did not speak up when I had the chance, I guess some part of me wanted him dead. maybe I enjoy killing too much as I have become rather proficient in it these past few weeks, whatever the case may be I should atone with Helm this evening.

Tunnels..... AGAIN...
After decimating the giant beings and apparently foiling a plot to attack a human settlement elsewhere (If my superior still existed I may have gotten a medal), we rest in yet ANOTHER underground tunnel of stifling air, black mold, and the dank smell of the local half-orc.

I didn't much like giving those undead wretches anything but it seemed best to get past them with as little strife as possible, with just coming out of a battle of gigantic proportions it seemed unwise to challenge the spectral doormen.

Twas good to squish some goblins, blow off a little steam.
