The land rush is on! Sent south by Brevoy, the heroes have the unenviable task of venturing into the infamous Stolen Lands and annexing the territory, facing down monsters, bandits, and worse. It's hard enough to conquer territory—but does a ragtag band of adventures have what it takes to found and defend a burgeoning kingdom from the terrors of the wild?

The Kingmaker Adventure Path takes the heroes from encounters with mysterious bandit lords and barbaric raiders through the trials and tribulations of developing and defending their new settlement in the notoriously lawless River Kingdoms. Yet when war comes to the Stolen Lands in earnest, it's up the heroes to take up a mystical blade and stand tall against the horrors of man, beast, and strange creatures more dangerous than either..

The Journey Comes To An End....
We returned home to our city to find it in shambles, being attacked by wild fey creatures and six frost giants with a huge blizzard! We were able to repel the fey creatures by burning all the twig men and Talathel took out the controller from the air.

We reached the city and began to confront the frost giants. I quickly turned into dust form, a neat new trick I learned, to protect myself. Try as they might to hit me, I couldn't be touched. After each one was defeated, the storm would lessen, but after the third, we noticed that the rift in the sky which formed the eye of the storm opened and a terrifying creature emerged!

It turned out to be a jabberwocky, and it hit us all pretty hard. Talathel fell to it's roar, but Palinus, using an unknown weapon that began to shine as he wielded it against the frost giants, struck the creature down by taking its head! His sword glowed a bright green while doing this, and we can only guess that he must be in the possession of a vorpal blade.

Unfortunately, the jabberwocky was not the end. The rift opened further and showed the fey wild beyond. A sphere of annihilation shot out from the rift, and another sphere, of creation, shot out in the opposite direction. Both destroyed everything in their path, but the sphere of creation left behind fey wild plants in its wake.

We couldn't believe our eyes who we saw next, approaching the rift. It was Flax! We had left him to rule the river kingdoms in the fey, but apparently the fey was not enough any longer. It appeared he was under the control of his mother, Esmarelda. She is convinced that this land is theirs and there was no possibility of a diplomatic resolution. We attacked as she tried to remove the abilities from Talathel's bow, and Palinus was quick thinking by using his dimension door to close the distance between them in an instant. His sword shining bright green from the aftermath with the jabberwocky, he struck true again, cleanly severing the head of Esmarelda from her body, ending her thread.

Once she was gone, we made quick work of Flax and the remaining frost giants, and Palinus was able to convince the soldiers to side with us.

Once this was done, I saw the rift to the fey begin to close. Remembering long ago I had a dream to find my parents and other gnomes in the fey, I saw an opportunity I could not pass up. I ran to the rift and leapt through just before it closed, ready to start the next adventure. While I wish I had time to say goodbye to Palinus and Talathel, I'm sure they'll be fine ruling over what was left of Rysaelia. Ruling was never my thing anyway. It's time for a new adventure, new friends, and to find other gnomes. Perhaps this time the fey wild will be a bit kinder to me.

Until next time, when the adventure continues!

Dear Journal
Aji died again today... I really need to teach her how to use a shield tomorrow... Every time she throws a fireball this happens... You'd think she would have learned by now...

Desk work...
Wake up, do work, go to sleep. Day in, day out. Week after week. Morgrym had been stuck at petty work like this for weeks now. At first it seemed okay enough. A few bit of coin to pocket. A nice warm bed. The better things in life. But this had become boring. And ever since that odd night he felt like this was all below him. His companions, he position, his skills growing ever duller day by day. This was NOT where he was meant to be. So that morning he woke rather early. Gathered his gear, left a note saying to restock the ale, which wasn't abnormal, and left. Walked out of the town, down the road, and off to find those "righteous" fools who left him there. And oh was he going to have fun...

Waiting in the Muck
Our trade routes were being impeded by someone in the vicinity of Lake Hooktongue. Upon investigation and traveling through the swampy area nearby, we were attacked by wargs which were ridden by unseen pixies. Arriving at a village on the Lake's Edge, we found a group of about 50 boggards that were the cause of the trouble. Deciding that we should probably have some backup, we sent Seles' hawk back to town to inform General Druss that we need a small company of troops to show some force to get our point across.

Moving away from the village so they don't discover us while we wait for the troops, we were again attacked, this time by a hydra and then five chimeras.

Once the troops arrive, we will try to negotiate with the boggards to avoid battle if possible. Palinus and myself will probably have the best chance to successfully negotiate with them, and if things go poorly I can put up a wall of fire to cover our retreat to the rest of the group and troops.

Letter to all
With the recent attacks not only on our town but on that of settlements in and around our kingdom, the subject of defenses can not be overlooked any further. I take my post as general seriously and part of that is maintaining the security of the kingdom. With that being said I am taking a break from exploring and adventuring to focus on our kingdom's defenses. I will be training our army in case we need it as well as over seeing the work on our castle and other outpost with in our ever growing kingdom. I have no doubt in the strength of the rest of you as an adventuring party and look forward to hearing stories of what you encounter out in the stolen lands. I will do my part in keeping you informed on anything I believe we should investigate. I will keep the home fires burning. A hot meal and tankards of ale will await you when you come home. I am not retiring, merely focusing on the home front for now. There will be a day when I'll take my axe and hammer back into the wilderness and rejoin you guys on your adventures
