The Varnhold Vanishing
Greetings from Restov and congratulations on your triumphs.

I hope that we are entering a time in which these lands will be called stolen only in history texts! Yet it would seem that for all your victories, your fellow colonists to the east have met with trouble. The settlers of Varnhold are not responding to messengers— and indeed, some envoys have gone missing as well. You may have noticed this on your own, but as the political climate here in Restov grows more turbulent, we find ourselves increasingly limited in the amount of aid we can send. Certainly, we cannot send troops south to Varnhold to investigate without our overly watchful lords to the north misinterpreting the act. And so it falls to you, I fear, to investigate the Varnhold mystery. For if something dire has befallen the colony, you must realize that your own could be next!

Trusting in your discretion and expedience,
Jamandi Aldori —Swordlord of Restov

Will O Wisps
I apologize for the delay in replying to your inquiry on Will O' Wisps, I trust this letter does not find you too late.

As I'm sure you've determined, the creatures feed on fear, and if there are as many as you say, there must be some great lingering force of fear centered on that island. You say it was Candlemere Island? I believe there is a tower(or shell of) there? Have you explored underneath it yet? If you can make your way below and cleanse it(even a consecration could do well here), I believe the wisps will not stick around long. I also doubt that they'd venture into your lands any further. They prefer less populous places.

A note among the treasure found with the trolls.
Hargulka,

Take your band to the Narlmarches and set up camp. From there I want you to harass the humans that dare lay claim to my lands there. Do your best not to stir up the local fey however, we may need them in the future. Do not fail me.

Your Queen

The Fate of the Others
It's been nearly 2 years since 5 groups were sent by Brevoy to reclaim the land to the south. Only a single group can say they're fairing well.

To the far east, a mission to the Glenebon Uplands, it can only be assumed that the Iron Wraiths were met with a swift destruction at the hands of the Tiger Lord Barbarians, as no one has heard from them since they set out.

West of them, a mission to Fort Drelev was, at first succesful, and trade opened for a short time with Mivon via the fort. 4 months ago however, the trade caravans stopped. One last missive sent by Brevic agents suggests that Pitax has taken control of Fort Drelev. Certainly a concerning development, but spies in the area report armies have withdrawn and there is no build up of forces to report there.

In the Stolen Lands, a group of comparatively inexperienced adventurers have a small, albeit flourishing kingdom forming. The quelled the bandit problem and are reportedly tracking down a threat of trolls in the southern region.

To the west, Maegar Varn proves to have been a sub standard choice for settling the Nomen Heights. The small town of Varnhold barely holds on despite attacks from centaurs in the wilds.

Developing Redemption
After the founding of Redemption, it's rulers took 16 more months to continue to develop their fledgling nation. In that time, they've seen their population swell to just over 4,000 residents. They've developed 2 mines, 2 sawmills and a quarry, as well as many farms and fisheries. Another village has begun developing around the Temple of the Elk in the Narlmarches.

It hasn't all been perfect though, as the leaders dealt with a werewolf who'd slaughtered sheep and then murdered two residents of the town. They also experienced a flare up of bandit activity, but quelled it within a month. Even so, they received some positive omens in the stars that Erastil may be watching over them, as well as receiving a visit from a famed architect from far off Absalom, and shortly thereafter experiencing an economic boon for a short time.

Now though, it seems the rulers are getting antsy and are planning on setting out to explore the southern Stolen Lands. Even as they discuss this, rumors of trolls wandering the area to the south have begun spreading.

Here is a map of the region: http://tkingmaker.comze.com/kingmaker/Stolen-Lands.html
