The land rush is on! Sent south by Brevoy, the heroes have the unenviable task of venturing into the infamous Stolen Lands and annexing the territory, facing down monsters, bandits, and worse. It is hard enough to conquer territory, but does a ragtag band of adventures have what it takes to found and defend a burgeoning kingdom from the terrors of the wild?

The Kingmaker Adventure Path takes the heroes from encounters with mysterious bandit lords and barbaric raiders through the trials and tribulations of developing and defending their new settlement in the notoriously lawless River Kingdoms. Yet when war comes to the Stolen Lands in earnest, it is up the heroes to take up a mystical blade and stand tall against the horrors of man, beast, and strange creatures more dangerous than either...

Player Characters will be made using the 20 point buy system. Anticipate being 17th level by the end of the Adventure Path. All classes (including playtest) allowed, all races in core rulebooks and Advanced Race Guide allowed. Please plan to begin play in Brevoy. Any questions, contact Tom or Jenn.

6 Month Summary through Sarenith 4716
1,200pp kingdom wages for each of us. This is much higher than usual. I withdrew more BP during 2 KTs because our treasury is overflowing and I was about to build a bunch of Unrest-reducing buildings.

Abadius, 4716. The Greenmark takes advantage of an unusually mild winter to explore and trade. The Circle of the Acorn claims the remaining southern marches of the Greenmark. We encounter the giant Munguk, who joins our army for the promise of dwarven liquor.
Greenmark renews its luxuries trade route with Absalom. From Absalom, merchants trade our dwarven single-malt whisky, juniper mead, fine fur garments, mirrors, and magic items throughout the world.

Calistril-Pharast, 4716. Construction begins on Shrikethorn's Artisan District. A local council of arts patrons, backed by the Doss bards, requests that we build an opera house in the Green District. One of the patrons offers to donate her noble villa to the cause. It is converted to the Greenmark Opera House.
Issa grants patents of nobility, with accompanying grants of land and gold, to several members of the Circle of the Acorn and their allies:

Greyfeather, Patriarch of the Greenmark and Lord of the Temple of the Elk
Ganelin, Palsgrave of Candlemere
Corax, Margravine of Heathwick and Constable of the Realm
Bede, Lord Marshal of the Realm
Fang, Lord Sheriff of the Realm
Kesten, Lord Captain of the Realm
Oleg and Svetlana, Margrave and Margravine of Leveton
Galrin, Margrave of Trollgrad

Gozran, 4716. Continued research results in the amazing discovery of _____!
Greenmark renews its raw materials trade route with Cassomir. Grenish barges laden with timber and ores ply the Sellen southward.

Desnus-Sarenith, 4716.
A coalition of zealots in Shrikethorn plots both openly and covertly for the ouster of poor Minister Kini! "She's been minding the fey too much, and the people not enough!" they say. The Queen shames them into submission while Ganelin and Corax hunt for the instigators, but popular sentiment still runs against the Minister.

8 Month Summary through Kuthona 4715
400pp kingdom wages for each of us.

Desnus-Sarenith, 4715. The Grenish War of Independence. Issa is crowned Queen.

Erastus, 4715. Troll warbands raid the southern marches of the Greenmark. With great sacrifice, the Queen wins a pyrrhic victory against the trolls. The Circle of the Acorn tracks the trolls' leader, Hargulka, to an old dwarven hold, from whence the Green Lady sent him to pillage the realm.
Greenmark continues its trade in beef, moon radishes, and other foodstuffs to Caliphas, though growing demand among our own populace may soon limit our ability to export food.

Arodus, 4715. A huge owlbear attacks Shrikethorn, breaching the western walls and destroying several building in the Hammer District before being driven back by the dwarves. The Circle of the Acorn tracks the owlbear back to its lair beyond the Little Sellen. A gang of cutthroats had been using a magic ring to send the owlbear against us. I suspect the ring to have been made of the hair of the Green Lady. We captured the owlbear and constructed a menagerie in the new Green District to house it.
Our depleted armies reconstitute and train new recruits.

Rova, 4715. Following the recent troll and owlbear raids, the brave Tanyons veterans of the Grenish War of Independence request permission to build a fort to protect their homesteads. The Queen appoints a new Marshal, Kini, to oversee construction.

Lamashan, 4715. Construction of Fort Tanyons is complete. Greenmark renews its arms export agreement with the rebel government in Tamran, Nirmathas. Fine Grenish steel remains in high demand throughout Avistan and beyond.

Neth, 4715. Olomanteion researchers make a breakthrough discovery about the First World!

Kuthona, 4715. Construction on a new military garrison district, the Spears District, begins in Shrikethorn.

The Grenish War of Independence
19 Desnus 4715. Greenmark declares independence.

22 Desnus 4715. The Grenish invasion of Brevoy begins. The Grenish main body, consisting of the Greenmark Rangers, the Royal Cataphracts, the First Shrikethorn Regiment, the Bronze Phalanx, and the Elk Templars, marches from Fort Trappingrounds across the Brevic border, into the Rostland plain. The Grenish fleet sails up the East Sellen River toward Lake Reykal. The Queen, riding with her knights, coordinates allied strategy on the move through Ganelin’s magic. Meanwhile, the Swordlords of Restov and their Mivoni Swordlord mercenaries march westward to rendezvous with the Grenish force. Surtova forces besiege the Orlovsky capital of Eagle’s Watch and the Garess capital of Grayhaven. A force of Medvyed knights and light cavalry rides forth from Stoneclimb to the aid of Orlovsky.

23 Desnus 4715. Garess forces and their dwarven allies dig in for a protracted defense. Orlovsky hippogriff riders fly sorties to attrit the Surtova siege army.

24 Desnus 4715. The Surtova besiegers attempt to storm Eagle’s Watch. Orlovsky’s mountain clansmen repel the assault, but at the cost of most of their number.

25 Desnus 4715. The Battle of Rostland Plain. The southern Surtova forces at New Stetven meet the Grenish main body in the farmlands south of the city. The Queen is victorious. Captain Farro Lodovka of the Lodovka marines is captured. An unknown Surtova commander escapes. Orlovsky hippogriff riders continue their sorties against the Surtova besiegers.

26 Desnus 4715. The victorious Grenish army occupies New Stetven without resistance, only to find that Noleski Surtova and his nobles had fled the city for Port Ice as soon as they received word of the invasion.

29 Desnus 4715. The Battle of Eagle’s Watch. Medvyed cavalry arrives to lift the siege. The Surtova army of mercenaries and druids, trapped against the walls of the fortress, is destroyed. The archdruid escapes in animal form, but the mercenary commander, Dame Rodonna Dunbar, is killed. In the south, the Swordlord army arrives at New Stetven and the Tempest destroys a Lodovka warship on Lake Reykal.

30 Desnus 4715. The Medvyed rest and refit at Eagle’s Watch before riding to the aid of House Garess. Orlovsky hippogriff riders find and destroy a Lodovka marine patrol hiding in the mountains, capturing its commander. At New Stetven, word arrives of large bands of trolls and drakes raiding the lands around Candlemere. The Bronze Phalanx marches south from New Stetven to defend against these raids. The Tempest also flies south to reconnoiter. Leaving New Stetven in the hands of the Swordlords, the Grenish main body crosses the East Sellen into Lebeda territory.

31 Desnus 4715. The Battle of Tuman Woods. The Grenish army meets Surtova loyalist forces of House Lebeda and a ship’s complement of Lodovka marines in the woods on the south shore of Lake Reykal. The Queen is again victorious, securing Greenmark’s hold over southern Brevoy. Four Surtova commanders are captured, including Noleski Surtova’s sister, Natala.

1 Sarenith 4715. Grenish forces march north with all haste to lift the siege of Grayhaven. The Medvyed ride from Eagle’s Watch to meet them.

6 Sarenith 4715. The Battle of Grayhaven. Grenish and Medvyed forces arrive at Grayhaven to lift the siege. In the largest and bloodiest battle of the war, the Grenish and their Brevic allies defeat House Surtova’s largest field army. Two Surtova commanders are killed; one escapes.

7 Sarenith 4715. The loyalist houses surrender. The Swordlords, fearful that Greenmark might take advantage of the chaos to annex part of Brevoy, politely ask the Queen to return her armies to her own lands. She honors her alliance and withdraws with magnanimity, but leaves the Griffon at New Stetven and the Fossegrim at Silverhall to ensure Grenish interests in the war’s aftermath.

21 Sarenith 4715.
The last Grenish land forces cross the border back into the Greenmark. The Swordlords control Rostland from New Stetven, and the allied houses of Brevoy control the north. The throne of Brevoy remains unclaimed, but Grenish independence is secure.

6 Month Summary through Gozran 4715
300pp kingdom wages for each of us.

Neth, 4714. Although the cult of Gyronna was ferreted out earlier this year, hag's eye graffiti is found on buildings in Shrikethorn. Investigations by the city watch find that the culprits are merely unruly teenagers who painted the symbol with no knowledge of what it represents.
The keelboats Crackjaw and Tatzlwyrm are christened at the Shrikethorn shipyard.

Kuthona, 4714. Greenmark begins negotiations toward a military alliance with Restov and Mivon.
A castle is built on the cliffs above the Temple of the Elk.

Abadius, 4715. Jhod Kavken, priest of Erastil, is discovered to have stolen money from the treasury while in office. Investigation by the Circle of the Acorn reveals that Jhod was being blackmailed by someone from his past. The Margravine sentenced Jhod to penance at the Temple of the Elk. The blackmailer will never be heard from again. Dwarven merchant Galrin Copperglove is appointed treasurer.
     Greenmark allies with House Medvyed.
The keelboats Fossegrim and Manticore are christened at the Shrikethorn shipyard.

Calistril, 4715. The Greenmark formally allies with Brevic houses Orlovsky and Garess. Maegar Varn invites the Margravine and her retinue to a feast in his capital.

Pharast, 4715. Greenmark completes the alliance with Restov and Mivon, reuniting the estranged houses of the Swordlords.

Gozran, 4715. Mineral Consortium resentment over the selection of Galrin Copperglove to the post of Treasurer bubbles to the surface in a chain of ugly social scenes. The Margravine summons Galrin and the Guildmaster of the Consortium to the Emerald Palace to sort it out. She points out Galrin's mercantile experience. He acknowledges the Consortium's superior expertise at mining (shocking, coming from a dwarf). Egos soothed, the status quo is maintained.
The airship Tempest is christened in the skies above Candlemere.
The Circle of the Acorn, accompanied by Ollamh Geirmund, attend Maegar Varn's feast at Varnhold. Representatives of the Swordlords and the houses of Brevoy also attend, including Noleski Surtova's sister, Natala.
