Letter to Enrathi, dwarven cleric of the Grey Mage in Telart
To Her Glorious Magnificence, She-Whom-Dwelt-Beneath-The-Earth-And-Above-It, Lady of the Arcane Mendings, Keeper of the Wizard Word, Once-Princess Enrathi:

Greetings and Felicitations! I hope this missive finds you well, I myself am currently in good physical health. My mental state has been Aggrieved by the Arrival of my Mother to Halvor, but I am Managing just fine so far. She has been Refused a room within the Keep, and indicated she was Distressed because of that, but has taken a Room within the city. I Know she has an Agenda and that is part of the Reason she has come here. It's possible that the Demon Pact she made before my birth was somehow Triggered or she was Reminded of the fact, as I Recently had an Encounter with said Demon, who Recognized me as the One who was Once Promised to It. That was Dealt With in a timely manner and is not my current concern, however.

I am writing to you about the Cursed Coins that seem to keep cropping up in our path. They are originally believed to be from the Ancient Blackburn Clan, who were Cut Off from the other Clans due to their Evil Dealings. The first coin appeared after that First Missive I sent to you some time back. The Coins keep Showing Up! Not the Same Coin, mind you, but others. We have taken every one that we have found to the Temple of the Shining Lady, to have them be Take Care Of in the Best Manner Possible. Overall we have found perhaps 2 to 3 handsfull of coins individually (or Paired), along with a Sizeable Coffer of coins, and then most recently another Small Coffer of coins. My companion Padhraig asked if I could Ask the Temple for more Information about these Coins, and the best way to Dispose Of Them Securely and Safely. Dama Greywall indicated that we have begun to Task their Resources with the amounts we have brought in for Disposal. We obviously do not wish to cause their Temple any distress, but they need to be Destroyed or Removed from Endangering the Public.

What Knowledge does the Temple have about such Cursed Coins or Objects? We Need to Know the best way to Rid the World of their like, and of course, the more Information we have, the better Prepared we shall be to deal with them In the Future.

Your obedient pupil,

Michaela Nazari-Dunleavy

Letter 1 to Enrathi, dwarven cleric of the Grey Mage in Telart
To Her Glorious Magnificence, She-Whom-Dwelt-Beneath-The-Earth-And-Above-It, Lady of the Arcane Mendings, Keeper of the Wizard Word, Once-Princess Enrathi:

Greetings, my mentor! I have some interesting tidings from within Tanyth Raoc. Last eve, at the Blessing of the Ships Festival, I happened to slay an undead! But I am getting ahead of myself. You always said, start at the beginning, and end at the end. So I shall.

I attended the festival as aforementioned with my cousin Alice and a housecarl, Ursula. While waiting to see the fireworks (with me atop a pier pillar so I could SEE), we also were accompanied by a skald, Ailie, along with a descendent of the sea folk, Padhraig, and a most unusual man, Cabhan (whom I assume was sent on his mission out of his monastery in order to get rid of him, but that's for later discussion). While watching, Ailie noticed a strange man in an alleyway who looked quite stricken. He disappeared from her sight, but she called to us and our company went to investigate.

The man was most distinctly unwell, and I approached to lay one of Our Lord's healing Words upon him, and he turned to dust at the finish of my word! I recalled immediately our lessons with the undead that had been kept and reanimated within the Temple Grounds, as well as my studies. This sickly man was in fact one of the undead. A weak one, of course, to fall to dust before my lowly Word, but it was still surprising nonetheless.

I bent to pick up (gloved hands, of course, I am not a fool) the shiny coin that had fallen amidst the dust upon his collapse. It attempted to compel me to do as it had no doubt done to this man, to place it within my eye. My will was stronger than its curse, and I resisted. Further examination revealed it to be one of Blackbyrne coins, all thought destroyed many fullhands of years ago! We knew immediately it needed to be taken to the Temple of the Shining Lady so that no one else could fall foul of its curse.

Dama Greywall was summoned upon our arrival, and confirmed the coin's curse. They took it into their care, and upon our attempt at departure, one of the acolytes in THEIR temple was seized by the Gift of her Lady, and spoke unto us a bit of Prophecy! We decided that it was best if we pursue this business together, but in the morning, of course. Alice, Ursula and I returned to the keep for rest, and me to write this down before all is forgotten in sleep.

We head out in the morn to the Fens to see if we can find further information. But now, I must close this missive, say my nightly prayers to The Grey One, and then get some rest.

In Service To You and Our Lord,

Your loyal acolyte,

Michaela Nazari-Dunleavy

P.S. - I know you hate it when your full titles are used, but as this was more than general correspondence, Mother would insist, and I'm certain she'll have read this before you.
