User: Walter
Race: Taldan
Gender: Male
Class/Level: Ranger/2
Description:
Vamyr is leanly built, of slightly more than medium height, dressed austerely and carrying a bow almost as long as he is tall. His face is furrowed deep with lines that give it a haggard expression and has tiny scars about the jaw and forehead as if torn by the claws of some savage beast. His Narrow gray eyes are discerning and unblinking, and are framed by a mop of blonde locks reaching his shoulders and topped with a raggedy felt hat. Saturnine and introverted Vamyr rarely smiles, speaks little and is direct when he does.

He habitually chews tobacco and spits.

Background:
The Turmbar family has lived along the southern border of Bravoy for generations. My forefathers being amongst the first Taldan pioneers to explore Rostland. The Turmbar family survived the reign of Choral the Conqueror and his dragon whores by hiding amongst the shadows of the Stolen Lands. It was amongst these lands that my family honed their skills as woodsmen, survivalists and guerilla fighters. I am the best guide Rostland has to offer and if anyone says different I challenge them to prove it.

The demise of House Rogarvia a decade ago and the rise of the conniving leaders of Issia’s House Surtova to Brevoy’s throne have made matters worse along Rostland’s southern frontier. Bandits and monsters have always plagued the border area of Rostland and the Stolen Lands to the south; but, as House Surtova funnels Bravoian funds from Rostland to their pet projects it is making things worst for the scattered pioneer families.

My family was fortunate; I was able to find work as a guide to eke out some extra gold in addition to hunting and trapping, my wife taking care of the homestead in my absence, that all changed a month ago. While guiding a trade caravan from Pitax to Restov a group of bandits killed and violated my wife and burnt our home. I succeeded in tracking the bandits and slew several lesser gang members and learned the leader was the son of a Restovian sword lord. In the ensuing fight I nearly killed him, but was arrested for attempted murder, since his family and privileged friends lied and provided him with an alibi. I found myself in irons.
