Where the land plummets from the snowy hills into the icy fjords below, where the longboats draw up on to the beach, where the glaciers flow forward and retreat with every fall and spring, is where you’ll find Tusk, a dvergr, the Old Norse term for dwarf. He cradles Leviathan, his hard fought for mace made from the jawbone of a whale. It’s a brutal clime, and one that calls for brutal living. The warriors of the land have had to adapt to the harsh conditions in order to survive. Tusk is a Godi, a cleric and servant of the Northern Gods, on a path to master the mystical power of Runes. He has a penchant for collecting bones and the artistic gift of scrimshaw. Given the necessity of raiding for food and wealth, it’s surprising to find such a stoic fellow lacking in malice and the power to heal amongst these people. He worships Njord, a Norse God who rules over the movement of the winds, having the ability to calm both sea and fire, and it is he that Tusk invokes when these warriors need strong leadership and decisive action. These “men from the North” see their deities in every bend of a river, hear them in the crash of the thunder and the booming of the glaciers, and smell them in the smoke of a burning longhouse. It is his blessings that are called upon the seafaring and fishing longboats. Njord is a wealthy and prosperous God, and he can grant prosperity in land and valuables to those who request his aid. Tusk carries with him at all times Njord’s holy symbol, a gold coin.
Tusk is 4'10" tall and weighs 146 lbs
