Zanithar Rose

"Don't wait for the perfect moment, take the moment and make it perfect."
User: Mitch
Race: Angel
Gender: Male
Role: Leader
Class: Healer
Leader: In this context means the member of the party which stays back and fills in the cracks of their party. A leader can boost morale, tend to the wounds, make the enemies lose the will to fight or rally the members of party together.

Appearance: Zanithar, for the most part, looks like a noble young human male, 16 years in age standing at five feet six inches, with short, light, silvery blond hair that has a minor shin in the light of day. His enchanting eyes have a slight crystal like texture with a gray tone. His skin look and feels as smooth as a newborn's blessed by the gods. He wears a white suit of armor with gold detailing, including a chest-plate, buckled boots and a detailed neckpiece that leaves his jugular exposed. His suit also includes a royal blue drape at the waist with fleur-de-lis details and a tasseled finish, and he keeps his sword in a scabbard on his hip.

Personality: He appears to be a patriotic and passionate young man who would lay his life on the line to save the life of another, and seems to have an unwavering - though perhaps denial - sense of hope that the situation can be rectified even at the worst of stages.

About: Zanithar is the High Priest in the Church of Milani within the noble land of Fort Rose. He is also the Grand Master Knight of Fort Rose, who serves under "Alexander Rose", his father, an aristocrat of Razmiran who is also a paladin of Milani. Zanithar's goals are to help his father who seeks to recruit for his cause, to first, make the lands of Razmiran free form its oppression, unjust rulers, and fake god; and to unify the River Kingdoms and fight against oppression and unjust rule that of which Alexander and Zanithar both see from there own eyes. After all, it is Lady Milani's wish.

Zanithar's Backstory

The River Kingdoms have a history of independence and freedom. The people see no one to rule them all... no one to be a King.

In the far-distant past, when forests covered much of Avistan and elves were the dominant race, the land now known as the River Kingdoms was verdant and lively. Streams ran quick and clear, and the land was green and firm. This territory adjoining Kyonin and Lake Encarthan was a place for high nobles and their courts to enjoy hunting and sport. The elves called it Telvurin, translated today in Taldane as The Shifting Lands. The departure of the elves gave the human race new territory to explore, putting them in conflict with lizardfolk, frog-men, and suspicious fey. With its dozens of tributary rivers dividing the region into countless small territories, it became a natural place for outcasts, rebels, and petty tyrants to stake claims and declare themselves rulers of whatever land they could grab and hold.

Alexander, father of Zanithar has recently starting to run into problems diplomatically, not only with Razmiran starting to find out about what "Fort Rose" has been trying to do to its Lands. But now the Kingdom of Ustalav (who has been secretively been loaning Alexander money to help in its efforts to cause rebellion in the lands of Razmiran) has come to notice that their money has been practically going to waist for Alexander keeps failing in his goals. Now representatives have been coming by and asking for Prince Aduard Ordranti the 3rd's (Ruler of Ustalav) money back. If Alexander can not pay this money back in one months time, Prince Aduard will claim Fort Rose, kill Alexander and his bloodline.

Unknowingly to Zanithar and in fear for his son's life, Alexander has sent his son to seek out an old friend of his for his son's protect. He informed his Zanithar that he is to deliver a sealed message with special instructions and an ancient sword of Elven craft to the Lady Tessara Iada of Kyonin with-in the city of Iadara. Alexander has informed Zanithar that he is not to open the letter under any circumstance and is not to let it leave his hands until given to the Lady Iasa. Once handed over, Zanithar is to do as Tessara wish's until said otherwise. Zanithar under the assumption that this is some kind of important diplomatic mission left with hast to the city of Iadara.

Zanithar, sent to the city of Iadara as per his father's request to deliver a sealed message and a strangely crafted Elven sword to the Lady Tessara. His father's true intent however, was to protect his son. Zanithar didn't know of this information until it was given by Lady Tessara the following day. Saddened by the thoughts of things becoming so dangerous that his father would send him far away, truly made him want to return to help his father. Zanithar honestly did not wish to go against his father's wishes and after a long discussion with Tessara, he was convinced to stay and live with her and her daughter, a young half-elf by the name of Ariana.

A year now has passed since he started to live with Lady Tessara and Ariana. Ariana kept asking him to join her on mission's from the city. Slowly, he started to join her on these quests only to help him easy his mind on the dangers that his father might be in, seeing that time has passed with-out any news from or about his father. Over time on these quests and adventures together, he had become good friends with Ariana, and soon after their last successful mission, Ariana was given a quest by the Queen herself. He didn't know if it was due to how much of a good team they made or if Ariana was just trying to help him keep his mind off his fears, but she asked him to join her on this once and a lifetime adventure to the northern border's of Kyonin. Honored by her request, he agrees to join her.

One year later...

I could hear the cheers of the crowd, cheering with anticipation for the battle that was about to begin and they wanted blood. Something I am not very good at doing. For I always tried to live my life without spilling the blood of others. How did I end up in this mess? One day its "Hay Zanithar, wanna join me on a mission from the queen?". Now its "Slave, perform a good show."

I think this all started little over a year ago. My time could be off for this have been a little crazy since then. My friend Ariana stopped by the house saying that She has been given another mission from the Elven queen Telandia Edasseril of the Viridian Crown. It would seem she had a letter from each of our fathers about a special mission that only we could perform. Right then I should have known this would be a bad idea. However, it was a letter from my father, a person who I have not heard of or from in over a year now.

Once we arrived the queen herself addressed us and handed over a letter to each of us. It was sealed and she said she did not know what was in it. I did think to myself that it was odd that someone like the queen would we doing favors for my father. I had no idea he had such strong political friends. upon opening the letter there was a Map. The letter read:

Alexander's Letter
My son,

I am sorry, but there are duties that were once the responsibility of Lord Elijah Leonriel and myself. Duties that we can no longer due and must now pass on to you and Elijah's Daughter. For a long time now a prophecy has been protected by the Leonriel and Rose Family. One that has been guarded for generation. I am asking you now to fulfill this responsibility. By now you should have noticed the Map that has been contained in this letter. It leads to an ancient cave that has been magically protected by myself and Elijah to hide the aura's of powerful magical items that have been around for a long time. That magical protection may be fading soon and the items will be in danger of being stolen by dark forces. We need you and young Ariana to retrieve the items before its to late and Protect them with your life. Elijah and myself are about to do something that may cause you and I to never see each other again. I am sorry but it is what must be done to protect Galorian once again and something that you yourself may need to do in times to come. At that point you will understand. I do hope you can forgive me and I wish I could tell you more about what must be done.

These item, heirloom of our family must never be seen by anyone outside of our family and must never leave your sight. Deep in the heart of the cave you will find a shrine.
inside there will be two two altars crafted by our families. On the altar with our family crest you will find a sword, the other item is for Ariana to protect. Leave that responsibility to her. These items, heirloom of our family must never be seen by anyone and must never leave your sight. Know this, it is in your blood that we trust. I can not stress enough, NO ONE else is to know about what you find in this cave, many have searched for this for over 5000 years, keep them, and hide them. I do ask you to leave with haste for I do not know how much time you have until the cave's protect will fail. The cave will be found deep in the forests of Kyonin. Follow the map and it will lead you to it. I am proud of you my son and I know you will not fail me.

- Your Ever Loving Father,
Alexander Margretor Rose

We left that same day, taking only what we needed. All in search for these items that our father would have us lay down our lives to protect. We told no one that we where leaving, not even Ariana's Mother. I wonder what my father was up to. What did our family have to do with the safety of Galorian? What was he doing that could cause us to never see each other again and was he saying that he may be dying soon? there was no time for such thoughts. Our journey through the forests of Kyonin were easy as ever, and just as the mao showed, we came across a cave. Upon the entrance of the cave there were words of elven arcane power. As we walked into the cave we could feel a warmth of magic. It must have been some kind of barrier to only allow those with our blood to enter.

I prayed to the goddess Milani for light. She answered by light up our path so we may see. We traveled deep in the cave when the floor suddenly gave out from underneath Ariana. I rush and pushed her out of the way so she would not fall, but in doing so, I fell myself.

Why do we dream? What purpose do dreams serve? What is a dream? A dream can include any of the images, thoughts and emotions that are experienced during sleep. Dreams can be extraordinarily vivid or very vague, filled with joyful emotions or frightening imagery, focused and understandable or unclear and confusing. Are dreams memories from our past or are dreams a vision of what is to come?

It all started with a dream. The dream felt as if it was from long ago and at the same time, of what has never happened, and of what will happen. It forewarned me of a darkness, a darkness I wanted to ignore. It showed me a rose, a rose stained and dripping in blood floating in the air under a dark sky that rained crimson. As it floated there I felt as if it was looking at me, as if it was trying to talk to me, no it was trying to warn me. Yet it was not using words to say it. It was as if I could just know what it was saying. Like thought were being sent into my head though my eyes. I wondered to myself, what was this rose? Was it a just a rose? No, it felt as if this was the essence of Milani herself. I did not know why I felt this way, but it was as if something was telling me such.

The dream started with me feeling as if the coldness of death was rushing into my eyes. I found myself floating in the night's sky looking down on the ruins of an old kingdom. I had never been here before and yet I felt as if this was my home. I felt a feeling of sadness as I looked down on it in the moon's light. It was there in that light that I noticed a shadow. I turned around to see what was making it, only to find it only to find a humanoid creature with wings hovering far behind me. As if falling from the moon. I could not make out its face for the light of the moon behind him was practically blinding me. But I felt as if he was all alone. As a cloud passed between us the bright light took me away from this vision and I woke up...

I fell into never ending darkness. I screamed until I felt the sudden jolt of pain as I found the ground.

I woke up, my eyes burning as if on fire. I could feel a cold liquid running down my cheeks. I raised my hand to try and rub out whatever it was that was irritating my eyes. As I placed my hand on my eyed it felt like I was digging through mud. What was this, What happened to my eyes!? As I pulled back my hands to try and understand what happened, all I could see was a strange yellowish white ooze dripping off of what looked like rotting hands, my hands. My hands were corrupt, decomposing, withering, I could see a bone though the peeled back flesh. This could not be!

How long was I asleep? Am I no longer alive, my soul trapped in a rotting body? Was this all just a illusion, none of it real? I thought to myself as I grabbed my rotting arm with my other one. Yes it looked like it was falling apart. I could see the rotten flesh starting to mold, the cracked bone of my finger popping out of my skin. Despite the appearance, I could feel the smooth skin of my arm and as I moved up to my hand where the strange ooze was I could still feel it. I paused for a moment in disbelief as I wondered to myself how I could see in this area of pitch black darkness. I could still see, however not in my normal vision I once had. Now, everywhere I looked there was a strange blue glowing light allowing me to see. Where I looked the light followed. Where was this light coming from? I continued to clean off the ooze from my face. As my hand moved over my eyes, a large shadow appeared in the shape of my hand. Was the light coming from me? I waved my hand over my eyes and the shadow moved with it. It was cold and drafty in here. I then realized that this ooze was all over me and my gear and clothes where missing. What was this that has happened to me? An unknown will of Milani?

After a few hours, I finally started to get a hold of myself and was coming to the realization, "where was I?". I looked around and all I could see was rocks, I was in some kind of cave. At its end there is a block of stone full of a number of stalagmites. It was then that I remembered I was exploring a cave with my friend Ariana. We were sent here by our father's request, that was given the the Elven queen Telandia Edasseril the Viridian Crown to later give to us. It seemed there was something in this cave that we needed to find. As we where exploring the floor started to give way from under Ariana and I rushed in knocking her out of the way so she would not, but in doing so, I fell myself.

I looked around to see if I could find a way out and going past the stalagmites, if from the right, there is a very narrow hole which leads to a blind and narrow chamber. As I looked up I could see a hole that gave a breeze of fresh air. I don't know how I had survived that kinda fall. Part of me felt as if I didn't. I must have fallen through that hole. It was cold, dark and damp. I prayed to Milani to cleanse me of strange vision. Maybe it was some kind of mark to show me that I have walked on death's doorstep are returned. I felt was the wisdom of Milani and had to be the truth.

How far in this cave am I and was I alone? It seemed the only light was the strange blue light coming from my eyes. I took no notice to any daylight or moonlight. I observed no living, or in my case unliving creatures in this area. Nonetheless, In unknown areas, especially caves, there are always strange monsters. I have been told plenty of stories from traveling bards to understand it not best to let my presence known, and this strange abomination of sight was not helping to much.

I knew I needed to get out of here. After all I was unarmed, naked, and feeling cursed in that covered in ooze, seeing death and decay everywhere kinda way. I got up, my legs hurt but were not badly injured from my fall. In fact they felt more like I have not used them in a long time. I healed them with Milani's blessing and started to walk in the only path I could find to try and get out of this cave, I went though the very narrow hole in front of me.

As I passed through the narrow hole I could see what looked like a corpses lying on the ground. It was a male Elf. The scary part was he had my clothes and gear on him. I thought this could be some kinda trap so I called out to see if he was alive. After all, thanks to my vision, that I hope would not be permanent, it was kind of hard to tell if someone was really alive or dead. Yet, seeing how he did not move I determined ge were truly dead and tried not to think to much about it. For as I did my head begun to hurt. I stole the clothes and gear from the corpse for I felt I would need it more then him, even then its not really stealing when it was mine to begin with. After that I buried the him and said a prayer as I cut my hand to poor my blood on the grave: "By the power and mercy Milani, I have made death itself the gateway to eternal life for you. Look with love on your dying, and make yourself one with the Milani, in its suffering and death, that, sealed with the blood of the holy, so you may come before her free from sin."

I traveled for what seemed like a long time. Up ahead I could hear the sound of water coming from a bigger chamber. This brought relief to me. Mainly there was water. If I followed where the water was coming from I would most certainly find a way out. Within, I come upon a large cavern filled with a shallow pool fed by a small waterfall that cascades from the gloom above. There were two stone statues of immortals from ages past, flanking the waterfall and prompting me to suspect that there might be a room or passage concealed beyond. Intent on verifying this possibility, I enter the chamber, sloshing through the cold shallow water as I approached the waterfall.

But once I was well within the chamber, something horrible arose from the water and confronted me, something ancient and undead. A bloated, waterlogged corpse rose from the water and stood upon its surface. It was clad in rotting, rusty chainmail and carried a tarnished broadsword. Its skin, swollen and greenish black, bore the stench of ancient decay. Worms writhe in its empty eye sockets, while tiny crabs swarm in its beard and long algae-laden hair. Water continuously streams from it and the air around it seems thick and wavy as though saturated with some fluid. The horrid thing advanced toward him, literally walking on the surface of the water as it does. As it approached, I realize to my dismay that I could not breathe; a field of drowning energy seems to surround it and I had to hold my breath or choke on its watery essence and suffocate.

The monstrous thing proved to be a formidable foe, and a desperate battle thus ensued. Suffocating in its horrid drowning aura, I found the courage to try and fight on, but my attempts fail pitifully. Everything started to go black as I tried to grasp air until finally, A bright light slash right through the things face, destroying it and send it back to whatever watery hell from which it arose.

She had such a bright glow that the light blinded me for a moment as I looked at her. It took me a moment at 1st to realize who it was, my friend Ariana. Blinded by her light, my eyes readjusted and I could see normally again. It would seem that this form of vision only comes to me in the darkest of times. After saving me he looked over joyed to see I was alive and run up to me hugging me. She explained how she had not seen me for a few days now and thought the worst had happened. I decided it best not to tell her all the details and just informed her that Milani was watching over me. Then she she asked what happened to my ears. Not understanding what she meant I reached up to them and to his amazement he felt as if they were turned into a human's ears. What has happened to me when I was out, he wondered.

After we took a moment to catch up and trying to see if there was any other unknown changes to Zanithar, we decided to continue on into the chamber.

We entered the room and found the two altars just as the letter described. As soon as we started to walk over to get a better look at them items as gas quickly filled them room, Pulling the air from our lungs. Twice in one day I was suffocated. This was just not my day. As we begun to pass out a saw the image of an unknown person dressed in blood red robes. The world was spinning in fast past. Until suddenly, everything when dark.

Once again I dream, I dream of nothing more than a nightmare, my eyes felt as if on fire, burning with such pain. Slowly, my vision began to clear. I was surrounded by a mist that would take the shade of demonic animals and all I could hear screams of a childs in fear. As I focused on the scream to find out where they were coming from the mist began to clear. I was standing in a in front of a door. I could tell the screams coming from the here and as I was opening the door, the screams started to sound inhuman, for I had never heard a child scream from fear like this before. Behind the door was a short stairway which lead to a hallway at the end of which was a door with a flickering light coming from underneath it. I could hear a scream, they had changed to the sound of pain coming from the child. "Please let this be a dream", I thought to myself. I could see a shadowy shape at the end of a dark tunnel. I felt I was not allowed to down there, as if something was telling me this was wrong, It gave me a fear of this cellar. It was natural for me to have nightmares about for such a place, right? I was trying to brush off as a dream or my mind telling me the obvious however curiosity forced me to continue. in the door there was a small window with the image of a shadowy man showing on the other side. As I began to move closer the shadowy man progressively took shape. Yet even from the start of the dream I had a feeling what, or who he was showing me. In the end, I was the shape growing from the shadow. I was praying to some dark gods of old. I don't know who, I don't know what exactly I was doing, I just felt it. I did not understand the name or even words for that matter. But I knew what was going on. It was some kind of sacrificial ritual. Could this dream be nothing more than just a nightmare? At least, I hoped that was the case.

The screams for the child's voice started to change into a gurgling sound as blood was bubbling from his mouth. I knew this child, I do not know where from, but I knew that him. I had to do something. I ran in, as soon as I stepped into the room I was thrown into the the once shadowy creature that turned out to be myself and as I looked down to the young male half elf child striped of clothing lied chained to an altar I had a knife and it was buried in the child's chest, his ribs cracked open and flesh pulled back, my free hand digging into the meat of his chest like a butcher preparing supper. Blood soaked, I was saying something about his soul fueling the circle. I did not fully understand due to the shock I was in. After this action, I then paused and looked up at. I was pull out of the abomination that I had become and with a wicked grin it said, "See, we have cleansed the darkness from our son. I have shown him the true path that light brings." The dagger and hands dripping with the crimson blood of my child. The dying heart, still beating in his grip. It took me a minute to get control of myself from the shock, here I stood performing such an act of pure evil.

Then, I woke up, breathing heavily as I tried to catch my breath. I looked up at this full moon's night sky and told myself, "it was just a dream..." I looked around, I was all alone in a cell. My gear once again taken from me, at least this time I was not naked and covered in a strange ooze. This time however I was given something, a red leather collar that seemed to me magically enchanted to block my power to channel Milani's will and no matter how much I tired I could not take it off. I examined the cell door to see if there could be to get it open. My efforts where in vain for it seemed to also be magically enchanted. I tried to call out for Ariana, but no one responded, I was alone.

I don't know how much time exactly had passed but over that time, every three days someone who would not talk to me or answer my questions, would leave me stale piece of bread that was starting to mold and some water. It seemed they were doing there best to Diminish my strength and they were succeeding. In that time I started to grow so week from starvation that I had trouble just standing. I can however say I was not completely lonely. Every now and then a nice man I called "Ahno", which stood for ass hole number one, would take me out of my cell and drag me into a nice dark damp room and torture me to get information out of me. Most of which I did not have and that which I did have, I did not say. Honestly he gave me more information then I gave him. I now know thanks to him that there are people hunting down our families Heirlooms, it seemed that there were more then just the two in the cave. He also informed me that there was a Society of some kind. Most likely to protect the items and I felt it was safe to assume that my father and Lord Elijah Leonriel where a part of it. The interrogation was extreme, he tried all kinda of things I know I never would have thought of. Then again Torching people is not the kinda of thing I think of. At one point in time I thought he finally killed me and I could rest, turned out I was not so lucky.

Eventually it seemed they gave up. it was in the middle of the day, one day a bag was thrown over my head and I was drug out of my cell. I could feel the sunlight beating on my body, its warmth never felt so good. They tossed me into the back of a wagon and carted me away for what seemed like days. I do not remember how much time had passed for I fell unconscious.

When I finally can too, I was being tended to. A group of maidens and healers where tending to my wounds. I lied in that bed filled with joy, it was the first sign of kindness in a long time. I was given fresh water, cooked meat, fresh fruit, and warm bread. I felt like a king for a moment. In time as I started to regain my strength I asked where I was. A lady informed me that I was in Tymon of the River Kingdoms. I asked her why I was brought here. She explained that my debt was bought off by Ullmog, the Champion of Tymon. She explained that I was to become a gladiator until my debt was repaid. I tried to explain to her that there was must be some kind of mistake, I owed no man money. But it seemed it did not matter what I said, because according to there documents that Ullmog signed, I owed some foreigner a great deal of money and he paid it off.

They tossed me into an arena team and tried to train me for combat, however I was resistant, I told them that I not willingly harm another man. The trainers laughed and said that if I did not defend myself when the day comes, I will die in the arena. This did not shake my faith for I did not care what they would say, I knew that Milani was protecting me and would guide me on the right path.

The other members of the team seemed to also be set up. All of them were tortured by the "Red Cloaks", as we started to call them. I guess that was the final proof I needed to know for a fact that this was all just one big set up and not a miss understanding.

Now er are tossed in arena, forced to fight to the death in a bloody battle. Only one team was allowed to leave the arena alive. I tried my best to resist the mayhem, as for my teammates, that was another story.

One of them, Kyrie Dominus Vox, a human bandit by the looks of him, was having fun in this arena and seemed to want to put a show as he gave no mercy from the first enemy he found. As soon as he had her on her knees, he decided rip out her eyes and put his dagger through the eyes to make an "eyeball shish kabob", then picked up her now dead body to make her look at herself though her own eyes as he put on a puppet show for the crowed using her body as the puppet. Then, once her was done, he opened her mouth placing his new eyeball shish kabob inside and closed it shut as he pulled out the dagger leaving the eyeballs inside her mouth. reopening the mouth so he could clean off his dagger with her tongue. After sheathing his dagger, he proceeded to make her dead corpse chew her eyes. After the dinner and show he decided it was time to go out for a dance as he grabbed the lumb, dead, starting to gown pale body and danced with the corpse around the arena as the rest of us continued to fight.

Overall we did not have any problem fighting our enemies. It was really a slaughter on there end. I felt extremely bad for them. Once the battle was over three still lived for a moment. Two of them were quick to surrender once they realized they lost, however even though they did s and tossed their weapon to the ground a female assassin on our side came from the shadows and sliced the bigger ones neck causing him to bleed to death as he drowned from his blood quickly filling up his lungs and the other, a cleric by the looks of it, was cleaved in half by a half-orc in our party. The final person lied unconscious on the ground dyeing. I quickly ran and stabilized him only to have Ariana walk up and pierced his head with her sword, giving him a quick and painless death. I was shocked at 1st when she did this. Later a realized that had she not do this, I might have been killed by the arena guards for the person claiming to by our master had ordered me to kill the man I was trying to save. I said a prayer to each of the people who had fallen, to help them move on in the afterlife.

"My Lady! I recommend to Thee the souls of my enemies,
of those who are in Purgatory on our account.

I recommend to Thee the souls of evangelical labourers,
of religious and priests,
and especially of those who had charge of my soul.

I recommend to Thee the souls of those
who were most devout to the passion of the Lady,
the souls who are most abandoned,
those who suffer most,
and those who are nearest to the entrance into paradise.

May you give them peace for they are now without sin."

Upon leaving the arena, a guard ordered us to go to the showers for Ullmog wanted us to eat with and that this was an honor so we will go. After getting kinda cleaned up we went to see him. We were seated at a smaller table separate from his table. There was food on the table and everyone was hungry. We started to dig in when Ullmog started to yell at us saying somthing like, "I did not give you permission to eat, you can eat when I say you can. It seemed that everyone but myself and Kyrie did as he said. Kyrie was digging in making himself look like a savage pig as I spoke back to Ullmog. I informed him he has no right to tell us what to do, that he falsely paid for us, that he was a slaver, and should pretty much fuck off. He did not like that and would have most likely started to do things to me that I would not have liked, one of which might have been death. Luckily for me, a human noblemen by the name of Cabol Voran, who was sitting at the same table as Ullmog, talked him down as he started to negotiate a price to buy all of us. Kyrie tired to get in on the action demanding that he gets 20% of the cut as he starting tossing out number showing his bad math skills, but nonetheless he was ignored. After some time of negotiations between the two, Ullmog said he would need time to think about it as he left the room.

Cobal did not hesitate to inform us that he was here to "rescue" us and that he knew that we were enslaved here under false pretence. He started to say that he was trying to "buy" us from Ullmog, but Kyrie's quick tongue had something to say. I don't fully remember the conversation that had happened between them but before I knew it Kyrie sword was out and the tension in the room was high. Cobal, feeling highly insulted, be talked down to by a mere commoner such as Kyrie demanded that he hold his tongue or else. Kyrie decided to go with the "or else" option as he continued to speak his mind. Cobal launched at him, sword slashing his chest nearly killing him from the 1st blow alone. I quickly cast a healing spell on Kryie, who was unarmed and had just fallen over from his chair after being attack and bleeding dramatically. Kyrie did not strike back. Cobal then said, "Are you done?" Kyrie's just simply stood back up trying his best to ignore what had just happened and sat back in his chair as he continued to eat his food. Cobal, now blinded by rage decapitated him where he was sitting, his head landed on the table, bounced one time, then slightly rolled to the center as a red cherry fell out of his mouth rolling off the table. The orc guards began to rush at me as I was standing in shock. I quickly reentered reality and sat back down as I channeled Milani's protection on myself to give me sanctuary from they're attacks should they come. They backed off, as Cobal glared at them and walked calmly back to his set and said, "Now then, where was I?"

It was that night, that we escaped. Cabol Voran came back for us. He and some of his human guards release us from our cells. As we quickly moved with them we noticed all the orc guards. They where flat on there back, not even moving. We where rushed to a carriage that took us away from this place that we were captives of for so long. I remember a conversation I overheard between our half-orc companion and out of the humans in armor that helped free us. He asked the human, "what happen to all the orcs." The human responded with a smile and said, "I helped them go to sleep with my hammer." A couple of the people in the carriage laughed. It was strange to hear, after all it must have been over a couple of years sense I have heard such things.

We traveled until dawn. We were at a peaceful stream of water with the soft cool morning wind blowing over green hills. As we were hopping out of the carriage a couple of humans set down a large chest as Cabol greeted us, "Well now my new friends, as a token to help form a trust I have a gift for you all." Upon finishing the word "gift" the two humans opened the chest. Inside was all our old gear from before we where captured. Everyone was overjoyed. We took this moment to clean up by the stream. I almost did not remember how good it felt to feel this clean. It was at this we each got to take a good look at each other to see what we all looked like on a normal day when we are not being captured and sold into slavery:

Zanithar, for the most part, looks like a noble young human male, look to be 16 human years in age standing at five feet six inches, with short, light, silvery blond hair that has a minor shin in the light of day. His enchanting eyes have a slight crystal like texture with a gray tone. His skin look and feels as smooth as a newborn's blessed by the gods. He wears a white suit of armor with gold detailing, including a chest-plate, buckled boots and a detailed neck piece that leaves his jugular exposed. His suit also includes a royal blue drape at the waist with fleur-de-lis details and a tasseled finish, and he keeps his sword in a scabbard on his hip.

Ariana my firend, or more formaly know as Ariana Leonriel of Kyonin, looks to be 22 human year old, who stands tall with a lean athletic build at the same height as Zanithar, five feet six inches. She has long blonde hair and bright green eyes. She has both elven and human like features, her presence is captivating and clam. Her hair was braided down her back. Her full plated armor shines of with silver, gold, and some specs of green. She carries a finely crafted long sword and shield that looked of Elven craft.

Cohen, or I should say, Cohen the Barbarian, was a Half-orcs, Standing at six foot four inches in height and 225 pounds clearly making him a little taller and stronger than humans on average. Like most half-orcs he had grayish skin, jutting jaws, prominent teeth, a sloping forehead, and coarse body hair, which causes him to stand out from his human brethren, though his canines are noticeably smaller than a full-blooded orcs tusks. He appeared bestial to me, though I bet among orcs he is considered human-like physically. His hair is black with gray well mixed in. Even though he said he "cleaned up" he didn't look vary clean. He had a vary tribe type look about him.

This one gave me a slight fear. I did not know much about her and based on how she fought in the arena I would say she was a professional assassin. Ariana informed me that she didn't bite and that her name was Velkesh Tallar or Vel for short. Vel is a fairly slim human woman standing at five feet eight inches and weighing roughly 106 bounds. She has short black hair, green eyes and strangely looked like one of the other humans with the clothing she was wearing. Her changing into Honestly I do not even know how she got that armor, yet something told me I didn't want to know. She seems calm, very quiet and typically shows no emotion regardless of the situation.

And finaly there was a human male who when by, Phaedrus of Casmaron. he looked to be 18 years of age and stood five feet eight inchs, The same height as Vel. If I was to guess, he weighted 180 lbs, uniformly black hair and yellowish eyes which almost seem to glow in the light as if to reflect Sarenrae herself. Weaponry finely crafted encrusted with gold, silver, and gems. Black tattoos beneath his eyes as a measure against the suns glare in the desert which gives him a haunted, ghoulish appearance. When fully armored his armor isn't encrusted in the traditional sense of his people but more sinister and black He told me this was to reflect the evil nature most outsiders accuse him of.

After we cleaned up, Cabol Voran made a request with us. He worded it as a request, yet it was more then that. He even made it felt like we had a choice in the matter. He informed us how he had paid the man who claimed to be our slave master 60,000 gold to "buy us", however Ullmog decided to keep the money and us. It would seem that the person who brought us had told him that we must die in his hands. sadly for him, our death was not easy for most of us, it would seem. Cabol ask that we would journey to his home kingdom, Avendale. He had something he wished to show us, something that we had to see in person. He refused to explain anything about it and he sent a man by the name of Armon Corson to help "protect" us on our journey. I knew right away that he was to insure we traveled to Avendale. I understood why he sent him with us, seeing how he invested 60,000 gold and fought half of Tymon to free us. In the end, for all the kindness he has shown us, we agreed we would go. After all, we owed him.

After looking at a map we decided it would be safest to travel up to Daggermark and cross east from there to Avendale. As we got closer to Daggermark we noticed that the "Guards" where mainly thugs and bandits or mercenaries as they liked to call themselves, with a few actual clean looking guards. They were patrolling the roads, farms, and outer walls. We also took noticed to the high inflation of, well everything. To cross a river cost 5 gold as opposed to the normal 1 silver. Even the Inn that we stayed at for the night costed a lot. We stayed for the night at that inn, feeling it would be safer then traveling at night and I am glad we did. I had not have had that good of a nights right is years!

The next day a couple of us felt it would be wise to go to the temples and pray for safe travels and decided it would be wise to try and find work as protection for traveling merchants that would be heading in the same way we were going. After our prayers we travels to the /merchant's Guild of Daggermark, however we were being followed. As soon as I noticed I stopped and turned around, asking them what they wanted. "Protection money" the said. they wanted 30 gold from each of us. As kind of an offer that it was, I just had to turn them down, explaining to them, giving slightly over exaggerated descriptions about each of us, that we could easily handle ourselves and thanked them for there time. They seemed to understand as they backed off.

As soon as we got into the Merchant's Guild we overheard a conversation about someone looking for more Mercenaries to help protect a merchant traveling in the same direction that we were going. Clearly and act of the gods. We walked up to the man, and elf by then name of Syrio Verethagna. He seem to look like an educated swordsman. He had short dark brown hair with slightly tanned skin. His eyes had a piercing look about them, as if he could see though you. His posture gave him an intimidating look about him, as if he could strike at any moment. He had on a large leaf green travelers cloak that seemed to hide almost everything on him. As he spoke, it was with wisdom like he thought of every word before he said it.

After our negotiations he agreed to hire us for 20 gold each and took us to the merchant we were to help protect, Brodric the Fruit. Shortly after meeting, we left Daggermark. He escorted him to a river that we would be taking northeast to an outer sea outpost on the cost of the Riverkingdoms. It seemed that Brodric the Fruit already had transportation plans using a boat to travel up the river. After a few hours of travel we ran into another boat coming down river. It turned out that they were not friends with "the Fruit", as they fired flaming arrows onto out boats trying to burn us down. After a short combat it seemed that there boat had a hole on the bottom of it as it suddenly sank without warning. It would seem that the Gods had been watching over us. A few hours later, we safely mad it an inn at the outpost, Outsea.

Zanithar's Homland: The realm now known as Razmiran (pronounced RAZZ-meer-ann) was once just another turbulent, violence filled River Kingdom where leadership changed as often as the years. This changed in 4661 AR when the land was conquered by a petty tyrant masquerading as a God.

The history of Razmiran is brief, as it is the youngest nation on the face of Avistan. Razmir first arrived here in 4661 AR, stopping in the city of Xer, then visited a part of the Duchy of Melcat where he set about imposing his rule. He began by ousting the local magistrate and the parasitic trade guilds. Little did the people know that he murdered the magistrate and incorporated the thieving trade guilds into the priesthood of his new religion. Razmir's popularity slowly grew until he controlled much of the Duchy of Melcat. Soon, the only part of the old duchy which was not under his control was its capital Aerduin. Razmir went to Aerduin himself and made three requests of fealty to the Duke of Melcat, all of which were rebuked. That night Razmir conjured a terrible cloud of burning fire and obscuring smoke that descended upon the city. The screams of the dying echoed all night long, and by morning the city was naught but ash and ruin. Since then, the nation of Razmiran has expanded its border on five separate occasions, each time at the expense of a neighbouring River Kingdom or county of Ustalav.

Holy Symbol of Milani
Milani: The goddess Milani (pronounced meh-LAW-nee) is the patron of all those who fight against oppression and unjust rule. Her Domains are Chaos, Good, Healing, Liberation, Protection. Her symbol is a rose growing out of a blood-soaked street.

Fort Rose
Fort Rose: This is not so much a Kingdom as it is a small town outpost in the wilderness of Razmiran. Lord Alexander Rose founded the town more than 20 years ago by taking over a fort that had been held by bandits. Since then the town has prospered under his kind leadership, and it is one of the one hospitable stops to traveling adventures. Given Lord Rose penchant for hiring mercenaries to go and liberate Razmiran (unsuccessfully), the town occasionally finds itself in financial peril but, thanks to the aid of the Kingdom of Ustalav, has managed to stay afloat. Many wonder what the ultimate cost might be, however.
