And so it begins (again). A chat with Amacus.
As Donata lies down to get a few hours of sleep, she (as she does most nights) confides in Amacus (much of which is in head turns, eye blinks, and shoulder twitches):

"We're slipping. We need to be more careful. I don't want this to end up like that sunken gold temple fiasco."
...
"I mean we should have known the magnitude of that storm was too much to keep Darius out in it overnight."
...
"No I'm not his mother but we still don't want to get him killed, and I have an attachment to him. Don't tell him that though [smiles]. Either way it was reckless and, dare I say arrogant. We're working with a team again, we need to remember that."
...
"I think dealing with all of these petty humanoids and their machinations is already making me restless and clouding my judgement. I'd forgotten how annoying it can be. It can never be simple dealing with them. The more there are, the worse it is."
...
"Yes I am one of them, in a way, you needn't remind me."
...
"I know: This one wants this thing found and is suddenly forgetful, that one wants some other thing dealt with before he'll help with the first one's nonsense, the first one remembers he's murdering his workers but doesn't want to stop, these ones won't talk to those ones, this one will only talk to that one... Like hatchlings, they are. So convoluted!"
...
"Exactly, and the bastard we're looking for is sitting in the bar the whole time."
...
"I miss those days too, they were much simpler, but we have a chance to find Admirari! Our team seems competent so we have that at least."
...
"I just hope we find it before we die of aggravation or old age. The lost city doesn't sound like a picnic, if the crazy old mountain man is being truthful."
...
"That's why I say we need to be more cautious."
......
"Huh? Yes I saw those large rabbit-like creatures burrowing in the snow."
...
"I think they are some kind of rodent, why?"
...
"I don't know if they taste delicious."
...
"If you can take one down, go for it. Just be careful."
...
"No thanks, my 'no rodent' rule still stands, even if there's a chance it may not be a rodent."
...
"Yes that's true, then there'll be more for you."
...
"Night Amacus, happy hunting."
