Tavern meeting
GayJon (halfling fighter), Tau (yeti barbarian), and Asbjorn (dwarf cleric) are all at a tavern in Neverwinter waiting for their mutual acquaintance Gundren Rockseeker. Gundren is late so they each pass the time in their own way. Asbjorn chugs some ales. Tau sits quietly in a corner and observes he tavern, taking notes in his journal. GayJon seduces the barmaid with his oversized dong and antagonizes Asbjorn by dunking his balls in a bowl of bar nuts and throwing one at the dwarf, scoring a critical hit and hitting Asbjorn in his eye. Eventually, the three adventurers realize they are waiting for the same person and Asbjorn strikes up a conversation with Tau about thier origins. GayJon begins pleasuring himself while standing on top of the bar. This prompts a city guard to confront him. GayJon contemplates killing the guard but the situation is diffused when he decides to buy him a drink instead. Asbjorn reconciles with GayJon and joins the halfling and the guard at the bar while Tau watches from the corner.

later in the evening Kyron, a human paladin, arrives at the tavern, also looking for Gundren. He notices the group of adventurers at the bar but does not see Gundren inside and chooses to wait for him outside the tavern. A few minutes later Wizziff, a high elf wizard, arrives at the tavern also looking for Gundren. Upon realizing that the group at the bar is waiting for the same person, he joins them and orders an expensive cocktail which he manages to pursuade the barmaid to give him for free by implying that he is a regular patron. Twenty minutes later a messenger named Szwordrin arrives and informs the group that Gundren has found “something big,” and that he'll pay them ten gold pieces each for escorting some supplies safely to Barthen’s Provisions, a trading post in Phandalin. The messenger then says that Gundren set out ahead of them on horse, along with a warrior escort named Sildar Hallwinter, claiming he needed to arrive early to “take care of business.”
